The following three pictures are of some of the legendary Patrick Cowley's original equipment. These synths and sound mixer were kindly given to RTP by Paul Parker and Ken Crivello. Ken and Paul inherited this equipment from their dear friend and colleague, Patrick and have now entrusted it to us.

Paul tells us that Patrick used this Teac audio mixer to produce all of his hits. The songs of Patrick Cowley, Paul Parker, Sylvester, Loverde, The Patrick Cowley Singers etc. were ALL mixed through this very machine. A true piece of disco history.

Patrick's main synth was a Prophet, but he used other machines to create specific sounds. This one is an ARP Odyssey.

Paul tells us that this Sequential Circuits Pro One synth was used to make a very specific percussion sound that was one of Patrick's hallmarks. The close-up shows how Patrick marked the machine's controls with a white wax pencil so he wouldn't lose that sound. The pencil marks are still clear. We have currently entrusted these synths to Cal Grant a.k.a. Cjay, a San Francisco sound engineer and DJ who once worked repairing synthesizers. Cjay is going to restore these machines to their former full operative glory.
