This picture captures an early incarnation of the famed cluster. There are 12 mirror balls in the cluster with one remote satellite ball for lighting effects. Sometime later more mirror balls were added. We can also see the wonderful rain lights that would create flashes, chases and cartwheels above our heads, and some of the many tweeters that were suspended around the floor for the amazing stereo effects that the Troc was famous for.

It looks like the club was being decorated for a special party. Anyone recognize the décor for this special event?

It DID snow at the Troc. No! Really! Here's the proof! This image depicts a unique piece of Troc history. At this Holiday party you can see the beloved mirror ball cluster with theatrical snow being dropped in from the skylight above. For decorations around the room, Unit, Miss Carla and staff cut out giant snowflakes from white paper in intricate lace patterns and hung them from the ceiling around the room allowing dots of light from the mirror ball cluster to dance on them and bring them to life. The Trocadero family were given their own winter ballroom, what a beautiful seasonal setting in which to dance the night away.

You will also see in the left front of this image, the future co-producers of Remember The Party, Bob (left foreground, heavy dark beard) & Chris (light t shirt, leather vest) enjoying this beautiful moment in time on the dance floor. Dancers would often wear a dampened neckerchief around their necks to keep cool while dancing for 5 or more hours at a stretch. The only pause would be to break for a pee, a drink of water, a rinse of the face, re-wet the neckerchief, then rush right back to the floor and DANCE! The music was so good you would not want to miss a single beat. Look at this picture, does anyone look like they would rather be anywhere else other than on that incredible dance floor with their Troc family sharing this wonderful moment? How lucky we all were!!!
